Understanding is weakness in Gold due to rising Dollar and/or the declining Euro. No big sense of "standard" evident in that scenario. There is no medium of "exchange" not linked to others in some way. The individual reason to hold Gold is just as valid as before yet it has fallen, because the Dollar has risen? No one wins everything in the exchanges because the game must go on. Anyone who cornered silver or coffee can prove that.
