The division of our study, mankind, into two types of people gave us the individual in the group and the group (in the) individual who each see the world quite differently in often opposite positions. But, before we define those individuals who internalize the group into themselves, we should first try to focus briefly our definitional efforts on the group alone. First, both the individual and the group need each other to exist and both operate independently for their own benefit. The group protects individuals from competing groups but it will first consume or put at risk as many individuals as it takes to protect the group. All groups automatically suspect threats from individuals outside their membership and potential competition from other groups of individuals. Groups combine to prosper themselves, often according to proximity, and struggle violently against groups, usually according to proximity. The central feature of groups however, it that certain individuals are needed to direct the fortunes of the group. Now we arrive at the group individual. The individual in the group sees the group protecting the individual, while the group in the individual sees themselves as the individuals protecting the group. In order to protect, one should control that which is protected in order to complete the task. The logical thread of our next essay leads to these two types of individuals who each see the world differently in opposition to each other. The most exciting part will be ascertaining, if we ever can, how each individual becomes either an independent individual or a group individual. Why do each place their emphasis so differently and the consequences of that decision.
